Friendship Program
For
over thirty years the Catholic Community of Manistee has been
privileged to host Manistee County’s only Ecumenical Religion Program
for the developmentally handicapped, known simply as Friendship. We
minister to approximately forty persons who attend sessions on Thursday
afternoons in the fall and spring from 1 - 2:30 p.m. The Friendship
Program is held at the St. Joseph Parish Center at 249 Sixth Street.
It is truly a special time as we join together in prayer, song and stories. There is always a need for additional volunteers to work with the students. Please call the Faith Formation Office at 231.723.2619, ext 26, if you would like to be part of this wonderful ministry.
